So this week the Twisted Mix Tape theme is slow jams - oh here's my thing, I could have gone on and on and on with some smooth grooves for this one, but managed to limit myself to the set of five ;).
1. Marvin Gaye - Let's get it on
This is class, just pure class, like most things Marvin Gaye did, awesome!
2. Texas - Move in
Now this is a little known album track from their album "The Hush". I love Texas, Sharleen Spiteri has such soul to her voice, and this track is just SOOOO smooth, love it!
3. Al Green - Let's stay together
Now I was first introduced to this song with Tina Turner's version, but I have to say Al just pips it for me, very cool!
4. Phyllis Nelson - Move closer
My Mum has the single of this on old 7 inch record - yes we had a record player, I AM that old! I've loved it ever since then!
5. Usher - You got it bad
I couldn't possibly let a week of slow jams go by without some Usher, come on! He does this sort of thing so well, love him!
