Twisted mix tape - The Greatest

So the Twisted Mix Tape over at Jen's this week is to make a list of the five greatest songs of an artist/group.

It was really hard to chose who to pick for this list, as there were so many options, but in the end I have gone for Dusty Springfield - the awesome, most amazing white soul voice who conquered both sides of the Atlantic.  She died way too young, and her music still influences so many today.

Now, let the songs talk.

1. Son of a preacher man

2.  I only wanna be with you

3.  I just don't know what to do with myself

4.  The look of love

5.  I close my eyes and count to ten

An awesome talent, I hope you'll agree.  She had a tempestuous life, but her legacy will live on as each new generation discovers her music.

  1. Great list. I know a few of these songs, but didn't know who sang them.

  2. This post was SUCH a breath of fresh air! And #4 (Yay, Mr. Bacharach!) is one that I could listen to for at least several hours on end back-to back before I ever tired of it
