Mhawhahahahaha - yeah, I really can't do the evil laugh, so let's get on spinning the tracks shall we?
1. Backstreet’s Back – Backstreet Boys
2. Michael Jackson - Thriller
Well obviously this classic HAD to be on the list. It's a classic, and whilst I was a bit young at the time, I am informed by a documentary I once saw that it was a film event in itself, and had to be shown late in the evening as it was so scary! Lots of extras as zombie backing-dancers as well!
3. Linda McCartney - Oriental Nightfish
Now I don't know how or why, but this was thought appropriate to be on a VHS I had when I was small, along with Rupert Bear (fine, apart from the evil owl) and Seaside Woman (very jolly). Somewhere along the way, the McCartney's forgot this was a children's video and put this on there, complete with video of naked woman being flung through space and combusting! Still freaks me out a little now, I'm just glad I didn't have nightmares!
4. Ghostbusters
5. Rockwell - Somebody’s watching me
I had forgotten that BSB did that spooky video. I had admired the whole costuming of it at the time. Nice songs!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I loved it, glad to remind you :)
DeleteLook at you dropping the Linda McCartney, very clever! Nice.
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween
Why thank you, and to think it was a last minute memory that almost didn't make it! It did scare me a bit as a child really, but children like to be scared a little, don't they? Have a good Halloween if you're doing something.
DeleteNow, I could easily picture a group of skeletons dancing to Backstreet's Back and ending the song with a scare tactic. Cool indeed!
ReplyDeleteLol, yep, sounds good, that would be awesome!
DeleteOK, I have never seen that BSB video and I must say I really like it! I am a sucker sometimes for teeny bopper stuff (I mean I know the song, but the video has nothing to do with it :-) ). ALSO that Linda McCartney video is for children??? WHAT?
ReplyDeleteGreat list Emma!
Glad I introduced you to the vidoe then :). I love my teeny bopper cheese, if you hadn't already gathered ;).
DeleteYep, that was on my Rupert Bear video, I don't know what they were thinking!
Thanks for having me play :)
I have never heard Oriental Nightfish. Really, it's true. I don't know how that happened. Cool tune!
ReplyDeleteHello, don't feel bad, not sure they ever released it as a single, they just felt like putting it on a children's video to scare them??? Glad to introduce you to it :)
